Watch-outs

  • Meaningfully pricier and heavier than the Pro 575

  • A minority of owners report needing warranty replacement parts
  • Few obvious weak spots for the money

Known niggles

  • Slow, sometimes unreliable startup that occasionally requires cleaning out the firepot to relight
  • Hopper doesn't always feed pellets into the auger reliably, causing temperature drops mid-cook
  • Scattered reports of sensor, heating-rod, or control-panel failures within the first year
  • Some units arrive with assembly defects — crooked lids, missing bolts, upside-down handles
