Gridiron 36

36-inch four-burner propane flat top griddle with 634 sq in of preseasoned cooking surface.

$600Approx. MSRP

A solid griddle choice for someone who already grills outdoors regularly and wants a Blackstone alternative, but be ready to season the steel and skip using the side shelves as hot-food staging.

Pros

  • Even heating across most of the griddle surface in still-air conditions
  • Considered strong value and a serious rival to Blackstone-style griddles
  • Good temperature stability once dialed in
  • Serious heat (48,000 BTU) — sears fast

Watch-outs

  • Cold-rolled steel surface needs consistent seasoning or it will rust
  • Assembly is lengthy and best done with a second person
  • Grease trough/cleaning tool doesn't fit well, making cleanup fiddly
  • Flat top only — no grill marks or low-and-slow smoke

Known niggles

  • Heat escapes from the sides during cooking, making the side shelves too hot to use for staging food
  • Temperature control knobs have noticeable play (roughly 1/8 turn) before they actually adjust heat
  • Wind can cause uneven cooking side-to-side on the griddle surface
