Good for someone who wants griddle plus basic air-frying in one outdoor unit; skip it if you want top-tier air fryer performance, a dedicated air fryer will outperform it.

Pros

  • Combines full griddle cooking with a built-in air fryer drawer, genuinely useful for finishing fries/wings
  • Rear grease management on current models is a real cleanup improvement over older front-drain units
  • One unit replaces both a griddle and a separate air fryer for outdoor cooking
  • Solid all-rounder for its class

Watch-outs

  • Air fryer performance is noticeably weaker than a dedicated countertop air fryer (more like a convection oven)
  • Not natural-gas convertible, propane only
  • More complex unit with more parts that can fail (fan, airfryer element) versus a plain griddle
  • Flat top only — no grill marks or low-and-slow smoke

Known niggles

  • Airfryer version is generally not compatible with natural gas conversion kits
  • Older/earlier grease-drain designs positioned at the front let grease run down the cart before Blackstone moved to rear grease traps
