Mesa 325

A 3-burner black propane cabinet grill with a 12,000 BTU side burner and a ceramic-coated firebox.

$439Approx. MSRP
Great foreasy to learn

Good budget pick for someone who wants fast heat-up in a simple 3-burner grill, but skip it if you want a fully sealed firebox that keeps out wind and rain.

Pros

  • Reaches 700°F in about 10-13 minutes and 500°F in just 3-4 minutes, fast for the price (~$346)
  • Three main burners plus a 12,000 BTU side burner and 542 sq in of cooking space
  • Assembly reported as very easy
  • Solid all-rounder for its class

Watch-outs

  • Only a 1-year warranty on non-burner parts despite an 8-year burner warranty
  • Black cart-style body is more rust-prone than stainless models
  • Basic feature set with no smart app or broil zone
  • Few obvious weak spots for the money

Known niggles

  • Owners of similarly built Mesa cart-style grills report a gap at the back of the firebox that lets rain and wind in, which can blow out the flame
  • No propane level gauge to warn when the tank is low
  • The tank shutoff valve knob sits close enough to hot metal to risk a burned hand
