Two Door 30-inch Propane Smoker

730 sq in, 4-rack propane vertical smoker with a separate top access door over the water bowl and a 15,400 BTU burner; currently listed as out of stock on Masterbuilt's site.

$249Approx. MSRP

A slightly more convenient version of the base 30" propane smoker for a beginner who hates losing heat every time they check the wood, otherwise the same strengths and weaknesses apply.

Pros

  • Two front doors let you add wood chips or water without opening the main smoke chamber and losing heat
  • Simple propane lighting and operation
  • Good value for the cooking space it offers
  • Loads of cooking room — 730 sq in feeds a crowd
  • Easy on the wallet ($249)

Watch-outs

  • Same door-seal leakage issue as the single-door version
  • No thermostatic control, just a manual gas knob
  • Built-in thermometer needs to be supplemented with a separate probe
  • No side burner for sauces/sides

Known niggles

  • Shares the same reported door-gap heat/smoke leakage as the single-door 30" propane smoker
  • Built-in heat gauge is low quality and inaccurate
  • Burner can go out if the knob isn't held down long enough at lighting
