Watch-outs

  • Heavy and has no wheels, so it's awkward to move or store

  • Doesn't reach the same nooks-and-crannies crispness as true oil frying

  • Stock thermometer reported breaking as early as the second use
  • Lowest available temperature setting still runs about 25°F hotter than ideal for true low-and-slow smoking
